Guide for veterans: in simple words about medical guarantees 2026
In order to inform veterans about state-guaranteed medical services, routes for obtaining medical care, and available support programs, the National Health Service of Ukraine has prepared a “Guide for Veterans: In Simple Words About Medical Guarantees 2026”.
The Guide contains explanations on:
- primary, outpatient, and inpatient medical care;
- treatment of war injuries and their consequences;
- rehabilitation, including after amputations;
- psychological and psychiatric care;
- dental care and dentures;
- provision of medicines;
- long-term medical care;
- medical care for cardiovascular, oncological, and other diseases;
- algorithm of actions in case of violation of patient rights.
The Guide will be useful for both veterans and their family members, as well as specialists who work with the veteran community and provide consulting support on obtaining medical services.
